All I want for Christmas – My expensive, geeky gift list for Santa

My family and friends hate buying me gifts. It’s not that they despise me, it’s just that I’m notoriously difficult to buy for. I have expensive tastes and, as a rule, if I want something I end up buying it myself. This year, many have asked me for a list of things I want to help them out with their festive shopping, but I’m sure most will have to resort to vouchers or cash when they see it…

Below is my wish list of gifts that I didn’t manage to buy myself this year and I doubt anyone will buy for me:

Apple iPad Keyboard Dock £55
I forked out for the iPad earlier this year but I still haven’t got hold of the one accessory that would make me use it more.

MacBook Air 11 inch £989
It’s gorgeous, thin and lightweight enough to take everywhere. If I didn’t have an iPad I could probably justify the purchase. That said, my existing MacBook is on the way out…

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V  £229
Now I’ve not tested it, but I’m willing to bet it’s epic. 10x optical zoom, 10.2 megapixels, 1080i HD video and GPS geotagging which I really need! Looks like the ideal compact for those scared of “proper” cameras.

HP CN245B Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One Printer £53
I’m not yet wirelessly printing, and now I can print from my iPhone and iPad this is the device I need to make it happen. Surprisingly cheap too.

iTunes Vouchers From £15
There are too many apps, albums, books and movies on iTunes that I crave but can’t really justify. A nice bank of iTunes credit is just what I need going into the new year.

Parrot AR. Drone Quadricopter for iPhone/iPod Touch £289
One more thing... what iPhone or iPod touch owner wouldn't want one of these? Probably the coolest "accessory" ever made for an iOS device and something I would really, really love to play with.
